
This event focussed on the opportunities available to former and future residents of the UK to manage their tax position. Covering all of the major UK tax-related concerns for such as: UK Based Pensions, Holding Assets in the UK, Estate & Inheritance Tax Planning, Wills and UK Domicile / Non-Dom Status.
We were joined by two guest speakers:
Justine Markovitz, Managing Partner at the Geneva Office of Withers. Justine heads the UK tax and succession practice for Withers in Switzerland, specialising in advising private clients and financial institutions in relation to onshore UK and offshore tax, trusts and estate planning, with particular emphasis on planning for UK resident non-domiciliaries. She also advises on wills and trust drafting matters and on fiduciary issues for trustees. Justine continues to be a regular and highly respected speaker at many international conferences and was recently listed in the Citywealth 2010 Leading Lawyers International List within Switzerland.
David Denton, Head of Region for Europe at Skandia International. David explained in detail the advantages, for expatriate individuals, of holding assets in tax efficient structures. A highly respected expert on Tax and Trusts, David was invited back by us to speak following a very well received presentation made at one of our previous tax-focused events.
