Forth Capital ‘Sleep in the Park’ Update

Dec

18

All of us at Forth Capital send you and your family seasonal greetings and wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2018.

Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, we are supporting the charity ‘Social Bite’ which is building a collaborative movement to end homelessness in Scotland for good. Social Bite are doing an amazing job to help the fight to bring these vulnerable and marginalised people back into society.

On 8th December, some of our Forth Capital team members took part in a sponsored nationwide sleep-out in a very chilly Edinburgh park to help with the fight to end homelessness in Scotland. Sleeping in the open air in just sleeping bags with a plastic survival bag guaranteed an uncomfortable night, with a light drizzle to wake up to in the morning. So far we have raised over £4200 and the amount is still growing.

All proceeds raised will go to Social Bite; and to their various projects including an employment programme, providing supported accommodation, organising charity winter sleep-outs, providing Christmas dinners and presents for the homeless and many other projects.

Again, Happy Holidays to all!
