Our nomination as one of eight companies shortlisted for the ‘International Business of the Year’ award also highlights the increasing importance of international cross-border financial advice and wealth planning for British executive expatriates relocating globally.
Celebrating Business Excellence and Best Practice
The 2025 British Business Awards is the largest and most prestigious cross-industry business awards in the UK. The 2025 awards ceremony [hosted at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on April 24th by Sir Bob Geldof, Rob Brydon, and Sting] will be attended by 2000 UK business leaders, collectively representing over £200 billion in turnover.
143 companies across 18 awards are now vying for the top spot at the awards ceremony. Major multi-nationals including Dell Technologies and Hewlett Packard (HP), UK PLCs including Scottish Power, The Weir Group and Greggs, well-known brands like Miller Homes, The PureGym Group and The Ivy Collection and technology and innovation led companies like Stellar Omada and Dynisma, all feature in the shortlist and will now go forward as part of the full judging process in the run up to the awards.
More than 300 companies entered the British Business Awards. The shortlisted businesses were chosen by an independent shortlisting panel. Each entry was carefully examined and judged on their positive impact to their workforce, sector and overall contribution to the British economy. The shortlist will now go forward to the main judging panel comprising of 18 independent judges, all key figures from British industry including Vinodka Murria OBE, Phil Urban, CEO of Mitchells & Butlers and Emma Crystal, CEO Coutts Bank.
The Judges’ citation for nominating Forth Capital as 'International Business of the Year’
Chair of the British Business Awards, Alan Jobe CBE, detailed the judging panel’s key considerations in their decision to nominate Forth Capital as International Business of the Year:
- From its origins in Scotland to having grown to now have offices across four continents, Forth Capital are a truly global success story. The panel noted that Forth Capital’s advisors provide advice to clients in more than 50 countries worldwide.
- The panel cited Forth Capital’s reputation as an outstanding international advisor, noting industry recognition as winners at the 2024 Investment International Awards for ‘Excellence in Advisory Best Practice’, and clients rating Forth Capital’s service as 'Excellent' on Trustpilot.
- Finally, the panel noted the business’s commitment to social responsibility, specifically citing Forth Capital’s extensive support of Social Bite.
